Topic 8 - Water
Today on our meeting we learned about water and it's other forms.
First we had to list everything that we knew about water and it's forms. As I know water has three states -
- Liquid (which is the form we know best)
- Solid (we know that as ice)
- Gas (fog and mist)

Topic 6_Science_Weather
Today I had tech, and my tech class was science. We learned about the weather and everything about it.
Firstly we had to write about what we understand about the weather. Here is my document about it- https://docs.google.com/document/d/18mblUv3bC6f6ZCspzUa3Pi4mwEB9dX9FXrxhoqd3B1A/edit?usp=sharing
And after that we had to list about the temperature, wind humidity and dew of the times of the day. We used this link to see what the weather was, and we wrote it on the document-https://weather.com/en-NZ/weather/today/l/NZXX0049:1:NZ
The last activity we had to do was about the different types of weather and what they look like, to understand what weather it is when we need it-https://weather.com/en-NZ/weather/today/l/NZXX0049:1:NZ

The Road to Emmaus
Last week we were learning about what happened after Jesus died. 3 days after Good Friday 2 disciples went out on a road to a town called Emmaus. Along the way they met a stranger. Not knowing who he was it got darker and They let him stay the night at their house. While they had tea they realised the way he parted the bread and gave the wine. Right when they found out who he was he disappeared. It was Jesus!
I did a story board and I think it looks great.
Here is my little comic -

Easter Liturgy - Station 4 - The Garden of Gethsemane
Station 4 : Garden of Gethsemane - After the last supper Jesus took the disciples to a Garden called Gethsemane. Jesus prayed while the disciples slept. When they woke up Jesus told the disciples that someone would betray him. He was very anxious because he knew he would soon be crucified and killed. Gethsemane is a time and place that we will remember as a memory of betrayal from a kiss to reveal him to the guards.
At the fourth station they had a candle, flowers and plants, a statue of Jesus and a purple cloth!
Did you know that purple the colour of Lent and Advent?!

The Legend of Rahi - Para 18 - 20
Today in class we read a book called the legend of Rahi.
Here it is-
Rahi and his family took off up to the volcano and blocked all the vents where smoke was escaping, this rushed the smoke into the cave where the Patupaiarehe had Tī Ara and they were forced to run away. As they ran out of the cave they were met by Rahi and his whānau, before a fight started, Rahi stepped forward and said there would be no fighting, losing lives from anyone’s iwi was all too regular, and Rahi did not want this to happen, so he decided a game would be better to settle disputes in the future. Together both tribes returned to where Rahi, Namu and the Taniwha had fought. The tribes held wānanga (discussions) until they agreed on a game they could all play and thus Kī o Rahi was formed. Kī o Rahi was then played to settle differences or relationships between the two tribes. Today we can play the game for the same reason and the same way!

Dinner for my Family and Me!
Kia Ora! Last week my teacher asked us to make our own lunch. My mum suggested I make a creamy mushroom and chicken pie. We didn't have all the ingredients so we had to go to the shops. It was way past lunch time and my mum thought it was a good decision to make it for dinner! When it was ready I finished it off with a salad.
Here are the photos!
I really enjoyed making it and it was really yum!

Welcome 2021
Kia Ora 2021. This year I will be focusing on responsibility. Being responsible is a really important job. You have different responsibilities like, me as a learner my responsibility is to finish my work on time and organise. My mum, her responsibility is to feed us or make food for us and look after us. I have to Organise, focus, think and finish my work on time. I'm sure I will soon learn to be responsible! Hopefully this year will be better than expected thank you!
