Welcome 2021
Kia Ora 2021. This year I will be focusing on responsibility. Being responsible is a really important job. You have different responsibilities like, me as a learner my responsibility is to finish my work on time and organise. My mum, her responsibility is to feed us or make food for us and look after us. I have to Organise, focus, think and finish my work on time. I'm sure I will soon learn to be responsible! Hopefully this year will be better than expected thank you!

The colour you would see featuring in church decorations during Ordinary Time is
D)green the colour of hope
In the homily, the hymns and the Scripture readings for Advent, the theme is
G)repentance, fasting, prayer, and giving to the poor
The Sunday Scripture readings are set out in a
A)three year cycle - YEARS ABC
The Liturgical Cycle of the Catholic Church is shared with

The season of Lent begins
E)Ash Wednesday and lasts 6 weeks ending on Holy Saturday, the Saturday before Easter
Ordinary Time lasts for 34 weeks is

Stories of Mary - Luke 39-56 - 2020
Luke 39-56 Mary Visits Elizabeth Thursday 19/11/20
WALT: Identify the major events in Mary’s life and locate the scripture stories that describe the major events in Mary’s life.
Today in class we decided to do Religious Education (R.E). For R.E we had to read a chapter of Luke 39-56 and talk about what happened and what the main event is. Here is the work that I have done.
In the scripture reading Luke 39-56 Mary Visits Elizabeth, we find out about Mary’s second encounter with God and second major event in her life. A few days later, after she was told she rushed down to the country of Judah where Elizabeth lived. She entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. We know this because in the scripture she goes to Judah and enters a home where her cousin Elizabeth is. After Mary greeted Elizabeth a baby jumped in her womb . Elizabeth was now filled with the Holy Spirit. We know this because in the scripture it reads, “...the baby leaped in her womb…”
Lastly Elizabeth is filled with joy and the Holy Spirit and says this,“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favoured, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfil his promises to her!” We know this because it says “...in a loud voice she exclaimed:...”.

Stories about Mary - Luke 26-38 - 2020
Luke 26-38 The Birth of Jesus Foretold Wednesday 18/11/20
WALT: Identify the major events in Mary’s life and locate the scripture stories that describe the major events in Mary’s life.
Today in class we decided to do Religious Education (R.E). For R.E we had to read a chapter of Luke 26-38 and talk about what happened and what the main event is. Here is the work that I have done.
In the scripture reading Luke 26-38 The Birth of Jesus Foretold, we find out about Mary’s first encounter with God. We read that Mary had doubts about giving birth to Jesus and being chosen. We know this because the Angle says to her, “Don’t be afraid. You’ve found your relationship with God”.
After Gabrielle told her she was worried and she didn’t know what to say. She was speechless and was thinking about what she should answer. She was scared and confused. We know this because Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?”.
However she says yes and says she is a servant of God. We know this because Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.
What do you know about the Story of How Mary was told that she was about to have a baby?
Do you know any other events about Mary?
If you were to play an act in the life of Mary who would you be?
Have a good day!!
