Fractions 27/10/20

Today for the first block of school Miss Nees-Kairua suggested we should do some maths. She split us up into three groups and then we took our books we were assigned to work on and headed to our work spaces. My group had to do fractions in a yellow book. It started pretty easy and got a little bit hard. With one of the activities we were able to choose if we wanted to do equivalent fractions, simplifying fractions or just write down the easiest answer possible. Me, Moala and Melenaite were working together but when it came up to the hard activities it was only me and Moala solving them. We chose to do simplifying fractions and equivalent fractions. They were quite fun to solve. After that we needed to solve an activity just like true or false. The book had a message like.. (eg. is this one half?) and we would have to answer yes or no! After that we needed to blog. That’s what I’m doing now and really enjoying it! Thank you!!

Math Brain Teasers

Hello today at home I was assigned to do some maths. For the time 11:30 I had to do brain teasers. So first I had to do record screencastify and here is my video-

My task was about setting the sensible times next to activity's. I had to figure out this problem and solve it - "A camp timetable for one day has the activities listed but the times are missing.".
Here is a picture of what I need to do-

So I had to drag the times next to the daily activity's, here is my work-

After I had done all of that I needed to do another activity.-
This task is about measuring lengths using a ruler. Some children were measuring some toy planes.
They used the ruler under each plane to measure its length.

I answered all the questions and here is what I got-

I got all of them right and I wasn't realy expecting it to be because most of the time when I use my mind and my eyes it's just a realy big amount of time wasted.
