The Road to Emmaus
Last week we were learning about what happened after Jesus died. 3 days after Good Friday 2 disciples went out on a road to a town called Emmaus. Along the way they met a stranger. Not knowing who he was it got darker and They let him stay the night at their house. While they had tea they realised the way he parted the bread and gave the wine. Right when they found out who he was he disappeared. It was Jesus!
I did a story board and I think it looks great.

Easter Liturgy - Station 4 - The Garden of Gethsemane
Station 4 : Garden of Gethsemane - After the last supper Jesus took the disciples to a Garden called Gethsemane. Jesus prayed while the disciples slept. When they woke up Jesus told the disciples that someone would betray him. He was very anxious because he knew he would soon be crucified and killed. Gethsemane is a time and place that we will remember as a memory of betrayal from a kiss to reveal him to the guards.
At the fourth station they had a candle, flowers and plants, a statue of Jesus and a purple cloth!
Did you know that purple the colour of Lent and Advent?!

Advent - The People of Advent - Rapid Recap on the Liturgical Year
Rapid Recap on the Liturgical Year
1/12/20
Today in class we did Religious Education(R.E). Because it is now, on the Liturgical Calender, Advent we thought about writing about the people of Advent. If you don’t know what Advent is, it is the season of a wonderful time of year, Christmas! Here is what I learnt and what I had to do-
Match the sentences together and then write a short paragraph using those sentences to inform your readers about Advent. Create either a DLO or storyboard about the events of Advent.
The penitential or preparation seasons of the Liturgical Year are
H)people in the Liturgical celebrations in Church communities
The Liturgical Year begins each year on
J)the first Sunday of Advent
The most important feast in the Liturgical Year is
B)Easter the day of Jesus Christ’s resurrection
The colour you would see featuring in church decorations during Ordinary Time is
D)green the colour of hope
In the homily, the hymns and the Scripture readings for Advent, the theme is
G)repentance, fasting, prayer, and giving to the poor
The Sunday Scripture readings are set out in a
A)three year cycle - YEARS ABC
The Liturgical Cycle of the Catholic Church is shared with
F)Advent and Lent
The season of Lent begins
E)Ash Wednesday and lasts 6 weeks ending on Holy Saturday, the Saturday before Easter
Ordinary Time lasts for 34 weeks is
I)spread over 2 blocks, after Easter and after the Epiphany
The Liturgical feasts and seasons are celebrated by
C)other Christian churches with a few exceptions

Stories of Mary - Luke 39-56 - 2020
Luke 39-56 Mary Visits Elizabeth Thursday 19/11/20
WALT: Identify the major events in Mary’s life and locate the scripture stories that describe the major events in Mary’s life.
Today in class we decided to do Religious Education (R.E). For R.E we had to read a chapter of Luke 39-56 and talk about what happened and what the main event is. Here is the work that I have done.
In the scripture reading Luke 39-56 Mary Visits Elizabeth, we find out about Mary’s second encounter with God and second major event in her life. A few days later, after she was told she rushed down to the country of Judah where Elizabeth lived. She entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. We know this because in the scripture she goes to Judah and enters a home where her cousin Elizabeth is. After Mary greeted Elizabeth a baby jumped in her womb . Elizabeth was now filled with the Holy Spirit. We know this because in the scripture it reads, “...the baby leaped in her womb…”
Lastly Elizabeth is filled with joy and the Holy Spirit and says this,“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favoured, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfil his promises to her!” We know this because it says “...in a loud voice she exclaimed:...”.
